  • Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) can be defined as the systematic quantification of all costs generated over the lifetime of a project.

The goal of TCO is to determine a figure that reflects the total cost of the investment, including one-time purchases and recurring costs, not just the initial startup cost. The one-time and recurring costs are determined by looking at each stage of a project, starting with planning, design, and installation, moving through to integration, training, and ongoing support and maintenance.
