Logistics Graduates of South Africa has been established in 2007 formed by a group of former students of Vaal University of Technology & supported by Lectures as well as Head of Logistics Department of Vaal University of Technology (Dr A Garnett).
The purpose of this initiative is to familiarize Logistics Graduates & Supply Chain officials with procurement software systems, professional bodies and organizations related to Supply Chain, students’ initiatives projects (In-Service Training & Bursaries). Since 2007 LGSA has introduced professional bodies and procurement training organizations to Logistics students. The organizations supporting this initiatives are: Commerce Edge & Smart Procurement, SAPICS , CIPS SA , CILTSA , IMPERIAL Logistics, Softworx, Ovation Group etc
LGSA also introduces Supply Chain software systems to the supply chain officials and students. A lot of students and Supply Chain Officials are members of professional bodies and attended various supply chain conferences/events which made a positive contribution to the development of their career.
By arranging and coordinating logistics/supply chain conferences, it opens a great opportunity to participating companies to market their offerings and also benefits delegates.

MISSION
- To introduce supply chain professional bodies, software systems and training institutions to supply chain officials, students and communities.
- To provide disadvantaged rural areas students with Leaner ships/ Internship, Bursary and study loans Information.
- To close gap that exist between Community, Secondary, Tertiary Education and Employers.
- To provide young graduates with job hunting skills.
- To provide career guidance to South African youth.
- To provide consulting services.
