Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage health & safety, environment, quality and housekeeping in section Enforce adherence and compliance with all regulations and procedures and initiate corrective action where necessary
• Draft, negotiate, conclude and manage contracts / purchase orders for goods and services
• Administer tender requests and manage subsequent queries
• Evaluate competitiveness of prices and formulate recommendations
• Effective sourcing and procurement of goods and services
• Handle and solve problems and queries raised by suppliers/clients
• Management of vendor performance systems
• Contribute to departmental continuous improvement targets through implementation of cost saving ideas
• Facilitate corporate governance and controls regarding the procurement process
• Effective service delivery and interaction with customers and service providers such as MRP Controllers, Buyers and production departments
