SmartProcurement Editorial board member chairman of CIPS adjudication panel

Douglas Boateng.jpgDr. Douglas Boateng, SmartProcurement editorial board member and CEO of PanAvest International has been appointed Chairman of the CIPS Pan African Best Practice Procurement and Supply Chain Management Adjudication Panel of experts.

This team of independent, experienced academics and leading practitioners will meet during the year to discuss and adjudicate on best practice procurement and supply chain management in Africa. Included in the panel are supply chain subject matter experts and professionals responsible for billions of Rands and USD dollar equivalent procurement expenditure and supply chain management.

“Procurement and supply chain management are inextricably linked to Africa's socio-economic growth" says Dr. Boateng.

“Under Dr. Boateng's chairmanship we look forward to identify and reward pockets of procurement excellence that exist in Southern Africa and the rest of the continent,” says CIPS Southern Africa Managing Director Andre Coetzee.
