Smart Procurement World would like to say ‘thank you’ for your unwavering support over the years,” said Mediacy Mudekwa, Head of Content, Smart Procurement World.

This year’s event is themed “Opportunities in unpredictable times.”

The international financial crisis and the subsequent end of short-term growth in South Africa has re-focused attention on the business cycle. The disruption of this era by the financial crisis has highlighted the volatility of economies, making investment decisions unpredictable.

2016 is also a year of political populism that has seen Britain being voted out of the European Union in an unexpected twist of events. Whatever the results of the US’s November elections, global markets will react nervously. New sets of legislation affecting supply chain management and procurement have emerged.

There is no question that Smart Procurement World is doing business in unpredictable times.

Are your ready to embrace the future?

Smart Procurement World Indaba would like to take this opportunity to share with you some interesting facts about this year’s 10th Annual event happening on 13 – 15 September 2016 at the Gallagher Convention Centre.

The event has been structured around two main themes:

“Economic drivers affecting supply chain management and procurement” and “financial acumen and value creation”.

How can you escape the savings trap and actually migrate from price savings to strategic value without a civil war (bad reaction)? How can CPOs demonstrate competency while increasing expenditure? How can CPOs turn external financial crises into internal opportunities? How do you justify spend when the pressure is on to cut costs and save? Expect some energetic responses on these questions from powerful supply chain and procurement executives featured in this upcoming event.

Meet our international speakers:

•  Jonathan Hughes, Harvard Graduate, Partner, Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain Management Practice Leader, Vantage Partners
•  Tania Ghossein, Senior Private Sector Development Specialist and Program Coordinator of the Benchmarking Public Procurement project, World Bank Group
•  Ian George, International Procurement Transformation Lead, United Kingdom
Danny Ertel, Magna cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, Partner, Vantage Partners

Don’t miss this once-in-a-life-time opportunity to hear from Vince McNally, Former FBI Agent and Hostage Negotiator at Smart Procurement World 2016. Imagine the techniques that one can learn from such an experienced negotiator to help you in your everyday negotiations?

It is our hope that this event will equip you to enhance the opportunities needed to drive strategy and deliver world-class procurement and supply chain management practices as demanded by the current climate.
