New Leading Practice Benchmarking Service launched

alow.jpg Purchasing Index is launching a new continuous Benchmarker service, aimed at showing participating organisations how procurement practices are carried out in SA organizations, how it is changing over time and what are the developing trends...According to Alan Low, MD of Pricetrak....

... participating organizations from a variety of business sectors will be asked to assist analysts to complete a survey questionnaire covering all aspects of their current procurement activities, structures within their organizations together with their future development plans. The resulting report and commentary will develop an ongoing picture of procurement as it seeks to provide relevant and added value services.

The Service will offer existing subscribers new reports on a bi-annual basis reflecting changes in procurement.

SERVICE BENCHMARKS
According to Low, Pricetrak has also been asked recently to extend it commodity benchmarking process to benchmark the following services in 2006:

• Professional and Consulting Services
• Telecommunications
• IT Services
• Marketing
• Transport & Fleet Management
• Labour rates
