Johan Grimbeek CEO Cutting Edge New York based Information Builders (IB), a supplier of business intelligence solutions and Pretoria based Cutting Edge Commerce (CEC) have announced a worldwide partnership that will see CEC's pre-packaged procurement and supply chain reporting solution be made available globally for multiple ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, J.D. Edwards, PeopleSoft, Baan, Lawson, Sage Accpac and 1C. The solution is immediately available worldwide for SAP with other ERP systems to be released shortly.

Smart Procurement understands that the partnership immediately makes CEC's product suite available to Information Builder's 12000 customers and thus provides the company with a global reach in a very short space of time.

Cutting Edge Commerce has created pre-packaged Procurement, Supply Chain and Audit toolsets based on Information Builder's WebFOCUS platform to accelerate and improve decision making, enable better performance management and address the needs of tactical, strategic and operational users.

At the same time by utilising iWay Software's SOA Middleware for connecting, integrating and creating re-useable services across multiple-ERP systems customers will have greater access and visibility of information.

Dave Watson, vice president, EMEA Partner Programme at Information Builders, said, "Many of our 12000 global customers have multiple ERP systems as a result of merger and acquisition activity and geographic preferences. Our products connect many ERP systems and can present information to all types of end-user means customers.

We have already seen significant interest from customers in the Information Builders and Cutting Edge Commerce solution and are looking forward to a successful worldwide partnership."

Cutting Edge Commerce has deployed its solutions at various large organisations including a major oil company, re-engineering its entire business intelligence strategy around Information Builders.

According to the oil company, this new application will revolutionise the way that information is accessed and delivered to all users, improving decision making and the overall performance of the business.

Johan Grimbeek, CEO, Cutting Edge Commerce, said, "The combination of our applications with the world's most scaleable business intelligence platform and leading integration tools from Information Builders means we can offer customers complete information visibility through seamless consolidation of multiple-ERP applications.

We have already deployed this solution within several major organisations and believe the market opportunity for it is tremendous. We are excited to have partnered with Information Builders, a company proven and trusted by thousands of the world's largest and most complex enterprises."
