CAPITAL PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST - R380 000 – R600 000 COST TO COMPANY, JOHANNESBURG

There is always a trade-off between replacing or upgrading existing ageing equipment and buying new technology that could possibly give them the competitive edge over opposition.
As the Pioneers of Supply Chain Management Recruitment, Tech-Pro Personnel have been called in to source Capital Procurement Experts for a one of their clients of long standing.
Successful applicants will be involved with inter alia
Analyzing the efficient utilization of capital equipment.
Formulating the capital equipment replacement strategy.
Managing the capital budget and capital equipment replacement strategy.
Predicting cost of maintenance and operating costs based on economic lifespan of equipment
Involving a number of stakeholders once the procurement decision is taken i.e. financial, marketing and operations and establishing cross-function sourcing teams
Arranging equipment demonstrations and trials with the necessary evaluation and indemnity documentation.
Sourcing of equipment in the global market
Maintaining a standardization policy within the company
Supplying feedback on support levels delivered by specific equipment suppliers.
Requirements:
- B.Eng / BSc degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial)
- At least 5 years experience in capital procurement, an excellent understanding and practical application of the principles of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Return on Investment and Cost/Benefit analysis
- Willingness to travel as work is project based
